I don't really have too much to say. This morning when I took some trash out I noticed this big spider's web with rain drops on it. It looked really pretty so I snapped some photos. I never did see the spider.

I have a project I have been working on. Saturday I will unveil my work!

School Days

Today starts the first full week of school. I was more nervous today than last Wednesday, because I dropped Bayba off at the door. I was telling her how to get to her classroom, and I told her if she gets confused just ask someone for help. She just looked at me and smiled and said ok. I wonder if she was thinking "I know what to do. Stop smothering me." She exited the van and went right in the door smiling and happy. I think she will have a good year.

Lil Slip is going to need some time to adjust to big sister being gone. Lil Slip didn't even get out any toys to play with today, she just followed me around all day asking questions and singing songs. Tomorrow I have a craft project to start and Lil Slip can help me with some of it.

Last week I took Bayba to the store to spend a gift card that she received for her birthday. She bought this farm set, which has many pieces but is easy for the girls to play together. At night when they clean up their toys, Bayba puts the pieces back into the molded plastic. Do you think she may be developing a little of her mommy's organizational skills?!

While I was mowing the grass this evening, Rocket Man was pulling the girls in their wagon. Here they are playing "drive-thru window".

As they were traveling the driveway, Rocket Man heard something being run over by a car in the road. "A quick thump-thump", he described the sound. So they went to investigate. Here is what they found.

Tonight was Kindergarten orientation for Bayba. Wow, they presented a lot of information! I have several documents to read and forms to fill out. As we walked into the classroom, I started to get choked up. I said to myself, "Get control of yourself! It's only orientation!" So I swallowed hard and put a smile on my face. When the teacher asked Bayba her name, she actually answered! (I have been coaching her.) When I went to K, it was the first time I was away from my mom. I had a really hard time adjusting, and the teacher asked my mother to come and sit in the classroom. My mom said she did not interfere at all, she just sat in the back of the room and watched. on our way home, I said to her, " Mama it sure was good to look back and see you sitting in my room." My mom said she could hardly keep back the tears. I did eventually adjust, but I never really enjoyed school. I am hoping that Bayba will have fun and be enthusiastic about school from day one!

Wednesday will be Bayba's first day. I hope she does not cry. I hope I don't cry. And I hope Lil Slip doesn't cry either!
